We will investigate subtle, organic and fluid ways of introducing acrobatic movements in Dance.
Utilizing various improvisational techniques and exercises, we’ll worship different ways of entering and exiting the floor without force, by taking advantage of the body’s natural impulses and the floor’s own energy.
We will also work on different types of lifts and partnering dynamics, in both couples and in groups, drawing from contact improvisation technique and using the weight of the other as a base.
Students are invited to develop confidence in themselves and in their partners, learning to enjoy vertigo and risk.
