We will use the workshop to explore methodologies, tools, and ways of notating movement that allow us to place the dancer or performer at the center, where her physicality and her abilities to connect, think in the moment, pay attention, and make decisions become choreographic agents from one moment to the next. The practices and tools proposed throughout the workshop draw from my experience as a dancer and from the various bodily technologies I have incorporated from other dancers and choreographers such as Paz Rojo, Beatriz Fernández, Luciana Achugar, Deborah Hay, and Diego Gil—with whom I have had the pleasure of working and learning in recent years.

​The workshop will offer participants the opportunity to explore how to integrate technical decisions with conceptual intentions, according to the specific nature of their own ideas. It is an open space for sharing, debating, and experimenting, with an emphasis on movement as expression and on transcending the divisions between method and content.​
