I took my first steps in dance in Irun and Donostia-San Sebastian. I studied contemporary dance at the CODARTS art school in Rotterdam and since 2004 I have been working in the field of dance as a creator, performer and teacher.

After several years developing choreographic works, I decided to constitute my creations under the name NERI(H), where I give space for diverse and interdisciplinary projects collaborating with other arts such as music, cinema, theater and photography.

I define my works as clear contemporary dance; that is to say, transparent, precise and delicate, as well as interdisciplinary, enhancing its value of communication and transmission. It is here that I understand dance as emotions, silence as a means of communication and stillness as a form of movement. Movement, underlining, above all, the importance of presence and gaze.

The need to delve into a choreographic language of my own drives my beginning as a company in 2016. In this trajectory I premiere the pieces NERE AZALEAN ARROTZ (2017), MUTU (2018), ICEBERG (2019), HIRU(3) (2021) and NUNAVUT (2022). I started my career as a creator before, in 2004, with the piece "NOSOTRAS Y LA PIEZA" (WE AND THE PIECE) together with Nerea Urbieta and Marta Ortega. Then came "TENTATIVA DE AGOTAR UN LUGAR PARISINO" (2006) and "EJERCATIVA DE AGOTAR UN LUGAR PARISINO" (2006) and "EJERCICIONÚMERO 2" (2007) of the MAIMY collective, accompanied by the filmmaker Victor Iriarte and the musician Maite Arroitajauregi. After that I created "PERMANENT VACATION. VERSIÓN"(2007), a piece made in collaboration with the multidisciplinary artist Larraitz Torres.

Since then, and maintaining my interest in the dialogue between different arts, I continued to collaborate with artists or companies/spaces artists or companies/spaces such as Idoia Hernandez-Hatxe, Nagore Legarreta, Aitziber Orkolaga, Eva Villar-Rqer, Ai Do Project, Node, Atalak-Dantzaz, Doos Colectivo, Hika Teatroa and the Museo Chillida Leku.

Today I am immersed in the project 40.BIDEGURUTZEA but I simultaneously keep teaching and offering several laboratories.
