ACCIÓN, TIEMPO
Y DETALLE

Imparted by

-Materializing ideas through the body and making them readable for audiences.

-Developing group work, where the individual merges with the collective and where  leadership is passed from body to body, as witness.

-Delving into the game between pause and movement.

-Creating intricate choreographic structures from simple movements. As opposed to from virtuoso ones.

-Building atmospheres and spaces related to science fiction, and investigating the relationship between cinema and choreography.

-Looking for details and discovering dancers who have a personal approach to Dance.

On one hand, sessions will focus on movement exploration with an eye toward research. On the other, on technical exercises combined with physical training.

Two main tools will be employed: Touch /Contact to expand awareness, generate memory and stimulate imagination; and Time Manipulation to enrich musicality through devices such as repetition, rewind, slowness and stillness.

Care is given to provide an inclusive, group-learning environment, that offers participants the opportunity to explore the potential and uniqueness of each body in relation to its own autonomy, as well as in function and support of the group.

Body Weather, Release Technique and Improvisation/Exploration will form the methodological basis for the classes.

For Andres, the creative process is derived from a strong theoretical and practical base, that’s later transferred to her collaborators.
She works with performers who develop specific movement material, along guidelines that are particular to the individual proposal and devised from her previous research.

The performers and collaborators take on a key, active role in creation.
