Olatz de Andrés

After journeying as dancer and choreographer, Olatz de Andrés created the company Lŏkke, with the intention of establishing a structure for choreographic development. Lŏkke is a place where  possibles live: an imaginary space located in an indefinite North.

For her, the search contained in her artistic proposals (and her chief points of compositional interest) revolve around the creation of extraordinary choreographic situations, relating stillness to movement, and playing with the tension that exists between the individual and the collective.

Past choreographic projects include: Make Time (2021), Doppelgänger (2020), Rift (2019), Euterpe (2019), The Big Game (2019), Eu Sou Passageiro (2018), The Endgame (2016), The Game I am a thing that hard (2007). These works have been presented in Euskadi, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Holland and Italy.

Andres has co-managed Muelle3 Dance and Creation space (Bilbo),  been part of the team that drove the Dantzabiz project, and been on the artistic coordination commission of the Danzan Bilaka program, as well as on different sectoral commissions in ADDE and in the Basque Council of the Culture.
