Pedro Berdäyes
Creative, Facilitator and Artisan of the movement in Improvisation, Creation and Choreographic Composition.
Registered officially in the Community of Madrid Body of Teachers in Music and Performing Arts.
He is recognized by INAEM with Higher Dance Studies. Specializing in Choreography and Dance Interpretation Techniques.
National Dance Award winner in the creation category, 2000. ADE Award (Association of Stage Directors) recipient in 1991.
Co-founder of the company 10&10 Danza. His choreographic work Kytatióh, won first prize in the Madrid Choreographic Contest of 1989 and appears as the origin of the company. At the head of 10 & 10, he has remained sixteen years (1989/2004), as co-artistic director, interpreter, pedagogue and creator, spawning many representative works of the company. He has collaborated on choreographic commissions for directors John Malkovich, Emilio Martínez Lázaro, Cristina Rota, Paco Nieva, Nacho Cano, Miguel Bosé, Grupo MECANO, Rafael Amargo and the Community of Madrid Ballet, directed by Víctor Ullate. He has worked on commissions as a choreographic creator for various public and private entities, the National Drama Center, Royal Theater, Generalitat Valenciana, TVE, Almagro Classical Theater Festival, Telespam, Amena, SCREAN / O.I.T (belonging to the UN), and collaborated with GINASIANO , Porto/Portugal Dance Conservatory. Pedro Berdäyes has been for eighteen years (2002/2020) Head of the Department in the specialty of Contemporary Dance at the RCPDMARIEMMA and LARREAL, he belongs to the guest faculty of the Hogeschool Voor of Kunsten Arnhem in the Netherlands / CODART and Dance Space in New York. He is currently collaborating (as a creative) with Espacio FCI and OmosUno directed by Cristiane Boullosa.
