Natalia Jimenez

Jaén 1980
Dancer, choreographer, teacher, Shiatsu therapist, activist for the improvement of rights for dance professionals as president of the Andalusian Dance Association, PAD for four years and in other collective movements such as LaBoldina with a gender and permaculture perspective. Creator of Group La Bolsa (Grouping of international dance creators involved in the search for performative practices involved in the search for performative practices in live creation).

Direction and design of SEMANA SANA (Conference of movement arts and the body), in Alanís de la Sierra, Seville. Director and choreographer of the program Aula de creación coreográfica in the course 2023 of the Agencia de Instituciones Culturales de la Junta de Andalucía (Agency of Cultural Institutions of the Junta de Andalucía).

Her last scenic creation GEOMETRY OF THE EXPERIENCE with premiere in the season 23/24 of the Central Theater in collaboration with the percussionist and improviser Lucia Martinez and the dancers Victor Zambrana, Ana Katalin Some of her previous creations in collaboration are: WOOLF (2021/22) a co-production of the Mercat de les flor and with premiere Central Theater, AULA (2019/20).

As a performer she received the Escenarios Sevilla 2013 award for her performance in Lirio entre Espinas by Guillermo Weickert and PAD 2015 award for her performance in Júbilo by Natalia Jiménez ; Jorge Gallardo. As a director she received the Escenarios Sevilla 2021 award, shared with José Luis de Blas, Lola Botello and Eva Rodriguez. He works with other creators such as: Irene Cantero, Guillermo Weickert, Abraham Hurtado, Aitana Cordero, Brigitte Vasallo, Jeremy Wade, Ex Nihilo, Vértebro, Angels Margarit/Cia. For the last 20 years, she has been giving workshops in different dance training and creation centers to professionals and amateurs with different approaches. She generates and creates pedagogical artistic spaces for transformation through the experience of the creative process.
